1. Try to use the "Scan for Hardware Change" function under Control Panel to detect your sound card again, I believed, you are using either XP or Vista, right. If you are using Chinese edition, try to locate the similar meaning applet under Control Panel.
2. If step "1" cannot detect the right sound card driver, try to find out the model number of your computer and going to the manufacturer web site to download the driver, if you are using something like DELL, Lenovo, HP, etc. They have driver download site.
3. If you are using custom made PC, not brand name, you have to find out if any CD-ROM come with your purchase, or if your sound card is onboard, try to figure out the brand name and model of your motherboard, then going to motherboard maker website for drivers download.
4. You should keep a copy of all drivers of your computer separately, just in case for future use.
