Is it ok to call a girl baby or babe if you dont know her that well?

Personally, I don't appreciate it when a guy addresses me in that way, if we don't know each other well. I tend to let him know I'm not his babe/baby...

Don't get too familiar with someone too soon...those terms are more for after you're dating someone.

I personally dislike being called babe, it reminds me of that film with the pig and it's irritating too. However some girls may like being called that, so i guess it depends on how the girl feels at the end of the day.

Err. Well I have a friend who calls me 'ma lovely' and 'ma love' all the time, but that's just affectionate as a friend. Personally I'd rather be called that than babe, unless you used it in a certain context. x
