我本暑期作業(英文)有D 唔識, 唔該幫幫手!要解釋!!!


1)108 sweets and 88 chocolates are to be shared amomg some children. If each child gets the same number of sweets and chocolates, how many sweets and chocolates each child gets at least?(Hint: Find the largest number of children first.)



2)A man is going to cover a square floor with rectangular tiles of sides 14 cm and 18 cm. Find the least possible length of the square floor.



3)The H.C.F and L.C.M of two numbers are 6 and108 respectively.lt the two numbers are 12 and x, find the x.(Hint:x is the multiple of 6 and a factor of 108.)

108 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 3
88 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 11

The largest number of children
= H.C.F. of 108 and 88
= 2 x 2
= 4

The least number of sweets each child gets
= 108/4
= 27

The least number of chocolates each child gets
= 88/4
= 22


2)
14 = 2 x 7
18 = 2 x 3 x 3

Least possible length of the square floor
= L.C.M. of 14 cm and 18 cm
= 2 x 7 x 3 x 3 cm
= 126 cm

Method I:
6 = 2 x 3
108 = 2 x 3 x 2 x 3 x 3
12 = 2 x 3 x 2

x = 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 = 54

Method II:
The products of the two numbers = L.C.M. x H.C.F.
12x = 6 x 108
x = 54
