Chinese help, can anyone translate please?

A Chinese friend gave me this Fu dog set. She said it came from her grandfather's house. It seems to be made out of clay and is in a green silk box with a stamp on the bottom of the lid. They have F2-8 hand carved into the bottoms of both of the Fu dogs. I always regret not asking her what the stamp said. Can any Chinese speakers make out the Kanji for me, please? If anyone can tell me more about them or where they might have originally come from, I'd appreciate it!

Foo Dog or Fu Dog refers to any of the following closely related Dog breeds originating in ancient China which resemble the Chinese guardian lions and hence are also called Lion Dogs

are believed as the civilian door gods. They are placed in a pair to provide ultimate protection, guard against evil spirits and harmful people, nourishes chi (energy power) that enters homes, bring in happy blessings. Their protective powers are deemed symbolic rather than actual and they are said to keep the bad chi (energy power) away

the stamp indicates the manufacture details:

中国 China 陕西 (省) Shaanxi (province)

绥德县石雕开发中心 监制
Supervise and manufacture by:
Sui De county stone carving exploitation & development center

邮编:71800 zip code : 71800

Well, the stamps weren't easy to read, but i think it was something like this:

Country Stone Statue development center made.

That wasn't really important though.

Try to Google what the Fu dogs mean or try Wikipedia but I think it meant like protection or luck. That's what most things like these are. They have Fu dogs guarding the gateway to Chinatown in Boston, MA in the U.S.

I hope this helped!

These are 2 'stone lions' --- they are usually much bigger sitting at the main gate of a house or institution to protect against evil spirits. The ones you have could have been bookends, or desktop ornaments.

The stamp is basically a nameplate indicating the manufacturer, including the zip code [which is the numbers you see in the photo]. It is a bit anti-climatic, sorry ..
