1.A cat and a dog are not satisfied witn their weights. If the weight of the cat is increased by20% while that of the dog is decreased by 10%, their weights will be the same. What percentage of dog's original weight is cat's orginal weight?
2.Two buckets of the same capacity are filled with flour and sugar. The ratio of flour to sugar in the twobuckets are 3:1 and 5:1 respectively. A baker pours the flour and sugar in the two buckets into one large container. Find the ratio of flour to sugar in the large container.

1. Let the original weights of the cat and the dog be C and D respectively.
C * (1 + 20%) = D * (1 - 10%)
1.2C = 0.9D
D/C = 1.2/0.9 * 100% = 133.3%
2. Let the volume of one bucket be V.
In the first bucket, there is V/4 of sugar and 3V/4 of flour
In the second bucket, there is V/6 of sugar and 5V/6 of flour
Total volume of sugar = V/4 + V/6 = 5V/12
Total volume of flour = 3V/4 + 5V/6 = 19V/12
Ratio of flour to sugar in the large container is 19V/12 : 5V/12
or 19 : 5 (3.8 : 1)
