Both ''in the street'' and ''on the street'' are correct depends which kind of English you are using(American English and British English). ''In the street'' is British English. ''On the street'' is American English.


I do think think ''On the road'' is more suitable than ''in the road''.

both are correct. depends on what u r going to express.
e.g. i met a friend in the street......is very common.
he's been on easy street (live the life in a good way).
"(on) the street" is also known as US style.
