1) Dynamics: Forte, piano, mezzo forte, mezzo piano, fortissimo, pianissimo.
2) Rhythm: The piece maily in dotted rhythm? Triplet? Duplet?
Tempo: The piece was in Allegro (fast), Adagio (slow), Moderato (moderate speed)?
3) Melody: Is there alot of scale-like passage in the music? Or octaves? Chordal? Arpeggios-like? The music was being played in wide-range/ small range of the keyboard? Was the melody being played by left hand or right hand?
4) Articulations: staccato/ legato/ detach.
5) Texture: contrapuntal (like fugue, imitating), polyphonic (2 or more individual voices being played at the same time), homophonic (melody against accompaniment).
6) Tonality: Major, minor, modal. Including if there's any modulations.
7) Harmony: Was the harmony being played by left hand or right hand? What kind of harmony is it? broken chords? alberti bass (Mozart loves it)? chordal? ostinato bass (a type of simple bass repeat several times), ground bass (a type of bass with rhythmic pattern repeat several times).
8) Form: binary (AB), ternary (ABA), theme and variations, one piece form, rondo, or just a piece with few sections, and the examiner will ask which is the contrasting section?
