Ask whether he can have these small tumors 'ablated' . . some people are candidates for this type of treatment depending on how many he has, size, and whether they can be reached. Basically they will go in and 'zap' the tumors and make them disintegrate. Not all patients are candidates for this treatment but it is worth asking about.

There is also a 'chemo perfusion' done around the liver . . the University of Pittsburg cancer center is known for treating liver cancers and they offer this.

My mom passed away a month ago from pancreatic cancer. Hers had spread also. The Dr told us 2-3 months. She lived 4 months to the day. Most Dr's will not come out and say how much time is left, as nobody really knows for sure. The Dr will look at other people who have had the same type of cancer and do an educated guess. Some people may last a month, while others may last 6 months. My mom fought it right to the end. The day before she died, she just tanked. You will know when the end is near by certain signs. Inability to get out of bed, stopping eating and/or drinking. My mom had all the blood pool in her legs, and developed open ulcers. Two days before she died, she started to sound really congested. The day she died, she went into a coma, and an hour later she was dead.

THere is Cancer Treatment Center of America that my cousin is going to, because of advance Ovarian Cancer that had spread. They have a new on in Pheonix Arizona that just opened, and several other locations. She did not have money or insurance and they helped her and her sister fly out there to get treatment. I would give them a call

The docs haven't tried all the treatments yet, so as long as the cells are still limited to the liver, the cells can be killed with radiation or other alternative treatments. If radiation or other alternatives work, then he will be free of the cancer.
