the important thing to remember about an equation (something with an equal sign) is that what you do to one side, you must do to the other.
so what we want to do is isolate the variable 'x' by getting it all by itself on one side.
we do this by adding (2/3)x to (4/5) x which gives us (10/15)x+ (12/15)x, which is equal to = (22/15)x
