有關 emu oil鴯鶓油的學術研究

根據AEA於1994年委託Auburn大學的教授群 (Dr. Paul Smith, Dr. Margaret Craig-Schmidt, Amanda Brown)研究emu oil鴯鶓油的組成，發現鴯鶓油雖然來源為動物油，卻含有極高量的不飽和脂肪酸，高達70%。不飽和脂肪酸中以單元不飽和 (MUFA) 的油酸 (Oleic acid)為最多，約佔40%。

其次，它也富含人體中不能自行合成又非常重要的必需脂肪酸「亞麻油酸」(linoleic acid)，以及「阿法-次亞麻油酸」(α-linolenic acid)。除了必需脂肪酸之外，研究結果顯示鴯鶓油還有抗發炎及修復疤痕的功效.

在關節局部塗抹emu oil鴯鶓油連續14天可100%改善因軟骨缺乏導致骨關節發炎疼痛的症狀，17天可100%改善紅腫症狀1。美國德州科技大學醫學中心 (Texas Tech. University Medical Center)於附設的燒傷中心，在1995-1998年間進行了一項長期的研究。研究人員分析鴯鶓油後發現：emu oil鴯鶓油中的組成成份可能幫助燒傷後上皮組織新生。給予燒傷病人鴯鶓油連續三年，結果顯示給予鴯鶓油者，其疤痕的恢復及舊傷口發炎的狀況都顯著優於控制組。

印第安那州立大學醫學院更在1994年以11個人進行臨床試驗，結果顯示，受試者中沒有發現任何過敏或敏感等不適的症狀，且使用emu oil鴯鶓油組其產生面皰及粉刺的的情況顯著低於使用礦物油組，因為鴯鶓油對皮膚穿透力極強，即使在濃度高達至100%時，在皮膚表面仍不會發生阻塞。因此不會引起面皰的生成。若配合可以抗菌的茶樹精油，抑制面皰的作用應更佳。

1997年，美國油化協會第88週年年會時，Dr. William Code更發表了一篇研究，其中給予受試者與控制組相同的面霜，受試者的面霜有添加emu oil鴯鶓油，而控制組的面霜則無。研究結果顯示，有添加鴯鶓油的面霜可以降低皮膚敏感者對面霜的過敏反應。鴯鶓油含有豐富的維他命E，也可增加維他命C在體內的濃度，因此有很好的抗氧化功能。而emu oil鴯鶓油其他可能的功效還包括降低皮膚過敏症(包括起紅疹、紅斑、癢等)、皮膚保濕，及減少落髮等。目前全世界有超過十五個以上的大型機構在進行有關鴯鶓油的研究，我們也相信會有更多功效被研究証實。

Emu Oil - Black and Blue Skin Marks
Recently my wife had a mishap on her bike. While crossing a road on her bike she hit a large pothole, causing her to lunge forward over her handle bar and fall on the ground. Much to her embarrassment and to the concerns of passing motorists she brushed herself off. However she was too shaken by her ordeal and decided to walk the rest of the way home.

Upon getting home she found several large black and blue blotches all of her legs from her fall. My wife rubbed emu oil over the bruises. Within day’s large areas of her skin started to turn back to normal color.

I attribute the quick improvement of her skin to the emu oil. It’s hyper-oxygenating powers draw blood to the applied area of skin. This helps improve blood circulation and speed up healing.

is the operation big or small?
if only small - no need to specially eat something, just keep the wound clean and take good rest..
if big one - can visit chinese doctor, they will give you some medicine which will be good for him..

besides, papaya also good for wound recover. but pls don't take chicken soup.. which is too heavy for weak people after operation - which is what I heard from my chinese doctor..
