for a tensile test on a specimen,having a diameter of 7.20mm and a gauge length of 55mm,the following results were recorded:
FORCE: (kn) --------------- EXTENSION X10 負3次方 (m)
2.0 ---------------------------------- 0.012
5.0 ------------------------------------ 0.03
10 ----------------------------------- 0.059
15 ------------------------------------- 0.0905
20 ------------------------------------ 0.1215
25 ----------------------------------------0.15




plot the stress/strain graph and calculate the modulus of elasticity for the material

As F = 入x/l, where 入 is the modulus of elasticity.

We take Force 2.0 (kN)

2000 = 入(0.012 X 10-3) / (55 X 10-3)

Modulus of elasticity, 入 = 9.17 X 106 N
