Pretty much everybody has it right.There will be no Nascar 2010 games unfortunately. EA Sports will not be making another one, as they don't have the rights anymore.
Nintendo Wii has one out, but it's basically like playing Mario Kart, it's like a kiddy NASCAR game, if you even wanna call it that.
However, at the latest E3 conference, Gran Turismo 5 released their trailer featuring official NASCAR licensing. So it's safe to say it'll be on there. Check out the link below for the trailer, it looks pretty awesome.

EA is done.
People finally realize they suck and their horrible 09 game had poor sales.
Kart racing for the wii is the only nascar game by EA.
if you have a PS3 there will be Nascar as part of GT5 which comes out late this year early 2010.

NASCAR will begin an on-line sanctioned series in a partnership with iRacing.com in 2010.

So far there is no official word on a new Nascar game. EA Sports and Nascar have a contract that requires EA Sports to release one Nascar game a year and due to poor sales with Nascar 09, they decided to release Nascar Kart Racing for the Wii only. Nascar and EA Sports are currently working on a new contract to let EA Sports continue the Nascar video game franchise but if a contract can't be reached, Nascar could let other game developers make the next game. If you own a PS3 you can play a Nascar game but it will not be just Nascar by itself. The upcoming PS3 game Gran Turismo 5 will include Nascar in the game. Not much is known about Gran Turismo 5 but many think it will release in 2010.
