I am having no trouble getting on the internet via my D-link Router, but cannot get my desktop to connect to the internet (which is directly connected to router itself)
I also found out that I have NO default gateway IP on my desktop right now (if that even matters with this issue)..
My desktop says it's connected to the internet, but I cannot access anything web related... Also, it says my LAN is unplugged, and I have no idea what this all means (I'm pretty much computer illiterate)
Anybody have any ideas? Please help T__T
NO LAN connected, YES Wireless connection, NO Internet?

Make sure the wire coming from the wall is going into your modem and the wire from your modem is going to the router(internet slot). Also make sure the wire in slot 1 is connected to your computer. Now take out the power on both the modem and router for 1 min. Then connect the modem and let all the lights stop blinking then connect the router power cord again. Now try getting online. On the LAN side you the easiest way is to setup the IP addressing part is to use the DHCP server. This will assign your IP address, gateway and DNS server address.
