Did you installed the sp1 for Vista? Download the SP1 for Vista and install it and it will fix this problem.

WHY??
Maximum memory capacity of 32bit Windows is ~3.25GB , though it is possible to physically install 4GB of memory, the actualamount of memory addressable by an operating system will be limited to~3GB. This limitation does not exist in the 64-bit operating systems Windows XP Professional 64-bit and WindowsVista 64-bit Editions.

comments: ...vista 32 is stuck with the 3.0~3.25 GB limitation...

vista ultimate 64-bit

result: 4030 MB (3.93 GB)

comments: no surprise here... 64-bit OSes are supposed to work asadvertised with 4+ GB of physical memory. i would have been moresurprised if vista x64 didn't work.

what can i do???
upgrade to 64bit windows....
