Multiply 20 by 60 to get seconds out of 20 minutes. It works out to
20 minutes x 60=1200 seconds
Then find 1/5 of 1200 seconds
1200 seconds /5= 240seconds
Then multiply 240 seconds by 3
240 seconds x 3 = 720 seconds
Now again divide 720 seconds by 60 to get the result in minutes. It comes to
720 seconds / 60 = 12 minutes.
Wasn't that simple?

Divide the 20 by 5 to find out how much 1/5 of 20 is. Then multiply the 1/5 number by 3. This method works for any similar problem.
