相信以上是一段說話，不是一封信，在對話的開始，我們多數會用Hello 或 Hi 作開始。在翻譯這段說話， 要留意時態 (tense)的運用，由於｢不能出席訓練｣、｢遺失電話｣都是以前發生，所以應該用過去式。
您可考慮以下英文翻譯版:
Hello, Mr XXX. How are you?
