Hi! Umm basically my periods are SO painful I can't even walk sometimes! I'm 14 and have had my period since p7 so I was around 11 - 12 years (don't know if that helps). So my periods have never been normal they are irregular and change days they come so for instance for a while they were on a Thursday now it's Sunday NIGHT! I know they can take a while to regulate and I've been to the doctor he gave me ibuprofen but hasn't worked it's just gotten worse - they are heavier and WAY more painful! It feels like my stomach area wants to rip or something! I even have to stop walking it hurts so much and it will hurt throughout my period but will come and go throughout the days!

Sorry this is LONG but i need to know what the hell it is! I've got it now so I'm in soooooo much pain writing this and thats why I may seem ticked off so sorry if I am. Thanks for your help

You poor thing! I know exactly how you feel. I'm 26 now, but have always had heavy periods - and I used to just cry all day for the first day each month, because I was in so much pain!! They do get easier as you get older generally. Mine still hurt - but not half as much.

Periods are the bodys way of preparing you to have a baby one day. It washes away your old wall and gets a new one ready in place in case you are ready to have children. It's amazing really.

The best thing that helps me - is to get a hot water bottle, and hold it over your lower abdomen, where the major pain is. It will ease the pain a little - and just take painkillers.

Excercise is supposed to help too (- although when I was your age I just used to curl up and cry! and excercise was the last thing I wanted to do!)

It will get easier though - cheer up ;)

i do know you mentioned no capsules however for those who wish a definite hearth strategy to ache comfort you want anything more potent than doing matters like consuming fruit and taking hot baths interval ache is prompted via prostaglandins which are published on the time of durations they usually motive cramp ask your health care professional for an anti-inflammatory, like naproxen which my pal took and it entirely bought rid of it. a further family anti-inflammatory is jus effectively ibuprofen. BUT there's no factor in taking the remedy if you have already got the ache, you will have to take it approximately a million hour earlier than you assume your interval in any other case you wont get any ache comfort for a further hour, if u seize my flow use a sizzling water bottle, the warmness may even relieve ache, if utilized in conjuction with ibuprofen or the extra more potent naproxen u will have to start to suppose alot extra relaxed. a further choice is to request the capsule out of your health care professional, it'll make your durations lighter and alot extra relaxed

I've had my period for about 8 years now and its still not completely regular. I think the only way to make sure of that is the pill. The pill is supposed to also help with cramps. If your parents don't want you to be on it because your so young then do what I do...kick back a couple midol, stick on a heat pad (you can buy small disposable ones that are like stickers and they go right on your skin/underwear), and keep moving. Don't curl up in ball. Light exercise can help relieve the pain. When mine get so bad that i can't walk i sit backwards on a couch on my knees and i rock from side to side. If its too back to bare you can always go to your doctor and get a prescription medicine for cramps. Try a "home kit" before getting the meds...your body eventually gets used to the meds and they don't work as well. Good Luck!

my period used to be irregular but i recently started to take birth control and it helps A LOT! it helps relieve cramps faster and regulates your period so they come once a month.

Well it's because the Lord put a curse upon Eve and told her she will have the pain of child birth. And with that pain comes the pain of 'The period'.
But in the medical terms>You body is scraping your uterine wall, to renew it. So I'm pretty sure all that scraping is the problem.
