How do I solve -5=4+ g/-4?

I know that we need to isolate the g, so would I have to multiply -5x4? Or how would I need to start this problem?
更新1:

I see how you're doing it. Thanks! When you all say subtract 4, we're talking about the insolated 4 and not about the g/-4, right?

u have a fraction on 1 side that is mixed with a whole number so u need to find a common denominator on the right side to do further math.

OR u could go an easier way...since the +4 on the right is not related to the fraction yet...u can subtract 4 from both sides which then gives u this:
-5=4+ g/-4 to -5 -4 = 4+ g/-4 -4

which then gives
-9 = g/-4

you then multiply both sides by -4 and u get
36 = g

-5=4+ g/-4

Subtract 4 from both sides:
-9 = g/-4

Multiply both sides by -4:
g = 36 <===Answer

-5=4+g/-4

First, you have to subtract 4 from both sides and you get:

-9= g/-4

Second, You multiply each side by -4 and you get:

36=g

-5 = 4 + g/(-4)
-5 - 4 = -g/4
-9 = -g/4
g = -9(-4)
g = 36

The answer is POSITIVE 36

good luck
