You can't solve it...:
-23 + y = y + 25
-23 + 23 + y = y + 25 + 23
y = y + 48
y - y = y - y + 48
0 =/= 48

subtract y from both sides and you get -23 = 25 which it is not review your problem otherwise it is a typo in the book OR a test to see if you are paying attention
