用英文解釋離職原因

I quitted my job and started running a boutique with a friend two years ago. However, as the economy worsens, we closed the business 3 months ago. Now I wish to work in the Retail Sales market (in fact, I was working as a sales person before).

I would like to explain the causes of separation in the resume but do not know write (without a Reference Letter), the same point in the interview to answer in English, hoping to help at home! Two years ago, I opened as a joint venture with a friend before the boutiques give up jobs, but the economy and do not in three months ago to close down their business and now hope to join the retail trade (in fact, I do so before the Department of Sales)

I gave up my previous job because I run a clothes shop with my friend 2 years ago, however, the shop was terminated 3 months ago since the economy crisis happened. I would like to go back to the retail field (I worked as a Sales before.)
