7x³ - 4x² + 8x

please show me what you did step by step(explain), it would be much appreciated.. thank you

oh so you just factor out an x and solve it like if it were a quadratic, thanks!

7x^3 - 4x^2 + 8x
= x(7x^2 - 4x + 8)

Well, the first thing to do is look for common factor. With this equation, you can see that there is an x in all parts, so you factor out the x, so it will be

x (7x^2 - 4x + 8)

This is also the final answer because you can't factor out anything else.

1. Find factors common to all terms. Here, the common factor is x
7x³ - 4x² + 8x = x·(7x² - 4x + 8)

2. Now you have to factor the quadratic. Find two numbers whose produce is a·c and whose sum is b. Here, a·c = 7·8 = 56. b = -4.

There are no numbers that will work. Therefore it is factored fully as x·(7x² - 4x + 8)
