Whether the interest suits him


This looks like a discussion on a book report, hence we need to change most of the verbs into past tense.

Perhaps Forrest Gump could go fishing during the Christmas holiday. In the story, as he had spent money booking a boat for a ride by himself, thus I wonder if he held himself aloof from the world. As everyone knows, whereas Forrest Gump went fishing, he could get into a solitary (self-forgetful = being unselfish, which does not suit with your content) environment which allowed him to fall into deep meditation (no totally). Moreover, one of Forest’s dreams was to learn fishing (no - to step into) (fishery is a wrong word here. It means the fishing business which is not a hobby). So going out fishing not only could let him medicate in a solitary environment, but it could also let him fulfill his dream. Hence I believe fishing is quite a suitable choice for him.


Whether it is difficult to learn
Forrest Gump might have other things to do, and he might not have enough time to go fishing. As a result, I believe (no that and “,”) he could make a time table for his Christmas holiday. Moreover there also existed a problem for finding suitable places for fishing. Hence learning to fish might be a little difficult for Forest Gump.


Whether it is costly to learn



Fishing itself is not a luxurious activity since all we need are the fishing tools (no only) and the fee for renting a boat. Fishing tools are not really costly and neither is the cost for renting a boat. Thus, I think (no that) fishing is an affordable hobby for Forest Gump.
