In his will he gave 1/2 of his camels to his 1st son, 1/3 to his 2nd son and 1/9 to his 3rd son. How many camels will each son gets?

Hi Jackie n :-D you did not try hard enough. See how others could get the answer.

更新2:

Thats my point you need to add 1 camel.

This is a true story. There was no algebra then. Infact even those who already knew the answer, i believe adding one camel to the 17 is trully genius. Thanks everyone for taking part.

you cannot split a camel in half .. half of 17 is 8.5... unless another camel is added by the judge then which son gives back the camel after huh?

Omar lends the estate one camel.

Therefore, 1st son gets 9

2nd son gets 6

3rd son gets 2

Omar gets his camel back !

(1 / 2)x + (1 / 3)x + (1 / 9)x = 1
9x + 6x + 2x = 18
17x = 18
x = 1

therefore, 1st son gets 9; 2nd son gets 6; 3rd son gets 2.

8.5, 5.6666666..., 1.6666666...
So Rounded 9, 6, 2
But Physically Impossible :)
