I haven't heard about the House of Representatives having a moment of silence for Michael Jackson, but if that's true then I agree that's a little extreme.

As for Farrah and McMhaon ... they don't come close to the amount of global fame Michael Jackson had. Hollywood is based around capitalism ... you get more famous, you get more money, you get more attention. That's how it works in Hollywood.

No sane parent would let their child stay over a grown man's house anyway. There are plenty of kids (boys) that have gone over micheal jackson's house and haven't been "molested." That home alone kid (forgot his name) said he was never molested or touched by MJ. That other kid that played on Goonies, went over his house and never got molested. Could it be because he already has money and doesn't need to lie to get any. Could be? People are greedy. I am gonna admit...Micheal Jackson was dumb as hell for letting strange kids come spend the night over his house. I know he had nephews and cousins that could come play at neverland. Jackson was never convicted. Without a conviction -- there is no proven guilt. Any belief otherwise is personal, and directed by the media hailstorm aimed at the entertainer. For those who wanted to bring him down -- it worked. And, this could be done to any major male star that spends time with children.

I've known male teachers who have been accused, and were declared innocent with no evidence supporting the charges. However, they are often removed from teaching because of how bad it looks to even have the claims laid against them. This is one of the reasons why I will never be a teacher.

As for the moment of silence...I agree it is a bit extreme.
