Why they don't have any NHL games in the summer every year?

Why doesn't school go year around? Everyone needs a break. Baseball usually takes over in the summer.
They need a break for trading and training for the new year.

The only sport that runs for just about the whole year, except for two months, is NASCAR and that is only because it's one race just about every week with the exception of a few breaks here and there.

because all the hot amazing hockey players like Sidney Crosby also need a break because hes human too and so are the rest of the players.
other sports take over so theres plenty of sports to watch for example baseball and plus hockey is on ice so it makes sense to play in the winter also where its cold and easy to get snow for the ice (:

its not good to play for the whole year round.thats what im told every year at goalie school. you can get tired of the game easier, and its always good for a break.

Hard to keep arenas cool enough in the summer.

September 29, 2009 Chicago Blackhawks vs. ZSC Lions in the Victoria Cup, that is the first game that I know of that is scheduled, I'm sure there is a preseason game before that, also the OHL preseason starts before that to. So just wait like everyone else.
