What country would you go to for a family vacation and why?

I think it is self-explanatory, yes.

I would go to Iceland, because it has fabulous scenery, fabulous people, and it's unexpected. People would wonder, but when you show them pictures, they would understand what a great spot it is.

Without the family, the answer would be quite different. :)

I would probably go to Italy...just because I'm interested in ancient Greek and Roman culture. I'd like to see where everything I've been reading about actually occurred. Sorry if this sounds nerdy, but I like to stand on a historical spot and try to imagine all of the amazing people who've stood in that exact spot some 2000 years ago. I live near a lot of famous southern battle grounds of the civil war, and nothing makes me think quite so much as when I'm there, standing where I know men died fighting for what they believed in. Stonewall Jackson's house is in my hometown's downtown...sorry all that was incredibly random. I love history <3

Because Tokyo is the closest city I can imagine to being like NYC, and I'd like to go somewhere similar to home.
