what is the actual area of the park???
Sol
A=4cm^2*(8000)^2
=4cm^2*8000*8000
=4cm^2*8000*8000*(0.01m/cm)*(0.01m/cm)
=4m^2*80*80
=4m^2*80*80
=25600m^2

Scale is 1 : 8000
that is 1 cm : 8000 cm, or 1 cm : 80 m.
therefore 1 cm ^2 on map = 80m x 80 m = 6400 m ^2 actual area.
for 4 cm^2 , actual area = 4 x 6400 m^2 = 25600 m^2.
