其實韓戰算不算慘烈?

First, as always, i just want to say, US Did not lose this war, they just didn't win it as well.

The problem is simple, it always was and always is and always will be two things. 1.) Draftee 2.) Media

I remember an old army commander called Hal Moore (I think you should know him) once send the then SecDef Robert McManara a letter after the Action of Ia Drang. In the letter there are 1 recommendation that catches many politician, soldier and normal people eyes, it goes

If the US have a force that more determine and more willing to engage the enemy, we would need only 1/5 of the man power and resource to win this war.

The problem in Koera is the same, draftee don't have much training do not want to fight and you put them in a dangerous situationa dn let them fend for themselve....

The media is a problem too, if you have not know already, the country that generate best result in war is usually also censor any informration from it, if you sitting in your dining room watching TV and it all goes to those images of your copuntrymen dying in front of you, what would you think?

yes, you can say American lost the fight in Korea. during the beginning of the war, they never think the North can be moved down so fast.
but after re- supply American did had some tough fight with the North, both sides had pushed each other back and forth over the broader line.
one time American did attrack near the captial city to the North, then suprisely they met the new replacement from Communist China. there were about 1 million Chinese volunteer suicide soldiers came out from the northern mountain. they used their blood and life succed push American back to the broader line........
you know, even now the korea war is still not ended, they just chase fire for the long 50 years. that's why the North continue say they will fight again.
also, who say the America people not remember the Korea war? you can see there are memorial statue / plaze all over every cities, counties and towns.
there are Korea war menorial day, veteran parades and memory events every year. American see the Korea war very seriously and positively because they saw them had fough it for the ten of millions South Korean freedom.

在越戰，很多美國人認為是輸在政客手上(政客包括美國及越南之政客/官員)，在前線士兵努力作戰，政客在後方抽後腿，戰敗與軍方無大關係。
韓戰就真正是兩軍對壘，實實在在之戰術比對，當時美國配備精銳之海軍陸戰隊被打得落花流水，甚至麥帥更想使用核彈，可想而知當時美軍之景況。美國人這麼自大，又那會想再提起。
其實美軍在傷亡上，並只比在越南多些少，敗只在自信心上而已
