Is this being happy.................excluding God?

My Uncle told me something a long time ago when I told him that money can't buy happiness. "No, but you sure can rent it for a long time." I know about compulsive spenders though. At first, it brings you happiness to buy something, but eventually, you start feeling guilty for buying things you don't really need at the expense of the necessities. Then it becomes a trap of not being able to stop and brings chaos into a person's life. My answer. You won't be happy for long w/ the things in your question. Eventually, your car will go out of style, your girlfriend will get old and lose her figure, your job may not be the cool thing to do after awhile and they are coming out with new phones with more stuff on them all the time for a higher price. Happiness is the present moment. People almost never notice it, and go around wanting things and searching for happiness when they already have it :/

You may be content at the moment with these material things but your car will break down your girlfriends beuaty will fade your job will become boring and your phone will become outdated. Only Jesus brings eternal happiness.
