My Opinion on Wearing School Uniform
School uniform is an essential part pf school life. Like it or hate it, most secondary students have to wear a uniform before they can pass through the school gates. Education experts believe that a uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the success of a school.
In my opinion, wearing a school uniform prevents the formation of dress-identified groups or gangs. A school uniform acts as a social leveller making all students equal in the eyes of everyone connected to the school. Wearing any sort of uniform makes people of all ages develop a strong sense of belonging to a particular community. It promotes discipline and raises the academic standards of the school. School uniforms prepare student for life in the world of work where most people are expected to dress smartly and stick to a dress code. It removes the pressure on students to spend lots of money on designer clothes to wear at school. A school uniform has many benefits outside the school environment. Wearing a school uniform encourages pupils to take pride in their appearance.
To summarise, I believe that school uniforms are good and necessary.
