there;s a reason why facebook and myspace got so popular: they were new concepts. Myspace was a completely new concept at the time, and Facebook took social networking into a Web 2.0 concept.

Don't bother, why would someone join a social networking site that NONE of their friends have, and isn't anything original?

Without a lot of financial backing, your MySpace/Facbook ripoff will not last for long. Free website hosts don't allow for much bandwidth usage.

You are at least 5 years from even knowing how to start making a site like that yourself.
