What is 20% of 60???

0.2 x 60 = 12

= 20%(60)
= 0.2(60)
= 12

Answer: 12

20% of 60
= 60 X 20/100
= 12

20/100 * 60
= 1/5 * 60
= 12

60 x 20%
= 60 x 20/100
= 60 x 1/5
= 60/5
= 12

20% is .2 as a decimal. The word "of" means to multiply, so:
.2*60=12 (answer)

Start with x/100=is/of. Here, x=20 (percent), is=unknown ("what is"), of=60 ("of 60"). We have:
20/100=is/60

Cross multiply:
20*60=100*is
1,200=100*is
is=12 (same answer)

all u have to do is: 60*20/100 = 12

Just convert it to math
What = x
is = =
20% = .20
60 = 60

x=.20(60)
x=12

It works the other way too, for example:

5 is what percent of 72

5=x(72)
5/72=x
0.069=x
or 6.9%=x

20%= 0.2
so then just multiply 60 by 0.2
60 * 0.2 = 12
and there you have it
