1) 我会写 The / That furious woman pulled her husband's hair. 的，不过你也是一样可以写 The / That furious woman pulled her husband by the hair. 的，我觉得 by 这里的意思是“靠、用、通过”咯。可是，我们讲华语时就会说“那狂怒的女人扯她丈夫的头发。”咯。

2) 你可以写 pull by the ear、pull by the sleeve 之类的。

There are three score and ten students in our class. 意思是“我们班里有七十岁的学生。”咯，因为 three score (years) and ten 就是七十岁来的。
