Are we all ready to start?
All right, let's start.
Is everybody ready to begin?
Let's begin , shall we?
Okay, are we ready to begin?
Shall we start the discussion?

(THE ENDING)

Finally , we all agree/think that....
Let's sum up what we've decide so far. we all agree that .....
Right, so far we've agreed on/decided on ....
Let's conclude what we've discussion ,we've agreed on ......
To sum up our discussion , we all agree that .....
若題目只是要求考生發表自己意見,則無需說"we all agree that "
Well, i think it's time to conclude our discussion."

That's all we have time for today.Thank you everyone.
I think we've coveres all the points for the topic.Thank you .
I don't think we have anything more to say.Let's finish the discussion.
That's the end of our discussion. Thank you.

I agree with you / i don't agree with you."

That's a good point.
I have the same idea with yours.
You read my mind !
I think it will work.
I support your opinion.
I'm strongly in favour of this.

I can see your points, but it may not be good because .....
I can see your points, but i'm afriad it may not work because......
I'm not sure if that'll work.
That argument doen't work in this case.
I doubt if that's a good choice/idea.

"maybe we can move on , let's talk about something new...."
"let's move on to other topic...."
當然轉移題目前要禮貌詢問組員"do you have any ideas?"

" may i beg your pardon? "
"could you please repeat again? "
" could you please ask/change to another question? "
" may i get another topic? "

You can use simple opening like "Let's start now!"or "Shall we start now?"to start the discussion, and then you'd better add some own ideas on it, like "i agree that......because.....; But do bear in mind that your opening should not be too long, no more than 50 seconds.....

To ask others' opinions, you can just say "What do you think about this?"If someone is not attentive enough, simply ask "Do you agree with me"or "What do you think about my idea?"

Agree or disagree is simple. For agree, "I see you point" "Yes, i do think that...." "Yes, you have a great point". Try not to use "I agree with you" since there's too many candidates using this. For disagree, "I am sorry but I can't agree with you" or simply say "but do you really think that....?"

For the ending, it is not a must to have a conclusion, if you group is very attentive, you can just simply continue. But in the end, if no one is talking, then you should add a conclusion, like "Let's conclude about what we say"or "Let's have a conclusion" "In the past few minutes, we have mentioned.......and we all agree that........" Then it's finished.

Second quesion: if others have mentioned your idea, then you can think of another idea or just agree with that candidate and add some materials. Like "Yes, i feel the same way, for example....."Add something that is new and make it as your own opinion. If no one's speaking, ask that i have mentioned above. It's not your fault if they don't answer your question. You have already showed the judges that you have try to make contributions to the discussion.

For individual presentation, try to identify what the problem is. If the problem is that you can't listen to the question clearly, then ask the judge to repeat the question. If the problem is you don't understand what the questions mean, simply ask "Sorry, can i have another question?"

Try to stick to the question and do not change it if you can, because asking for another question is something that should be avoided.

In my opinion, ....
Well, I think .....

Do you agree?

Is there anything particular to add?
