Original iPhone to iPhone 3G S?

I currently have the original iphone with the original plan. I want to buy the iphone 3G S. Do I have to upgrade my plan or can I just put my old SIM from my original iphone into the new iphone? How much would it cost to upgrade my plan and how much is the phone if I am already a customer?

Depends how much money that you buy the iPhone cost.
