請問 gerund & adj 的分別 ?????

首先要說gerund（動名詞）其性質是：名詞，當然與任何的形容詞有很大的分別
相信你是說V+ing（present participle )現在分詞作形容詞用，和verb+ed(past participle)過去分詞作形容詞用的分別：
它們的分別是：現在分詞所修飾的名詞，是那分詞動性的施予者，而大多數的過去分詞，是那分詞動性的受者
如：
an interesting book（是那本書使人感到興趣）
an interested man(是那個人被一些事吸引，以致產生興趣）
若我們用關係子句來表達，就更為清晰，如：
an interesting book我們可以寫成：a book that interests people
an interested man我們也可以寫成：a man who was interested by ...

又如：
a running dog就是那隻狗正在跑緊，分詞的動性在那狗上是主動
a broken cup=a cup which is broken（那杯是分詞的動性的受者）

Past participle is another form of a verb, usually verb+ed. e.g. interested, eaten.

By itself, a present participle or a past participle functions as an adjective. With an auxilliary verb, it becomes the main verb of a sentence or clause.
