Use the formula A=πr^2 for finding the erea of a circle..

where A is the erea, π=3.1416, and r is the radius of a circle.

Hope that helps..

The area of a circle is pi*radius^2 or if you want, (pi*diameter^2)/4.

Area of a circle = pi * radius * radius

multiply pi times the squared radius

π x (r^2) ....... (only the r is squared)

area of a circle = pie* (radius^2)

i.e pie*r^2

= (22/7)* r^2
