紅外線與紅外燈的分別

Infrared ray(紅外線) refers to the region of electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths longer than that of visible red light. Generally, infrared can be divided into three regions: infrared-A, with wavelengths range from 780 nm to 1400 nm; infrared-B, with wavelengths from 1.4 um (micrometer, 1 um = 1000 nm) to 3 um; and infrared-C (also known as far infrared radiation), with wavelengths from 3 um to 1 mm.

Infrared light(紅外燈) is an apparatus producing infrared radiation. Infrared lights commonly available on the market are those producing far infrared radiation(遠紅外線), usually used in physiotherapy.
