Hi, any difference, in term of meaning, between the above sentences?

(a) Only 100 of the 800 employees are part-time employee.
total employees are 800,
part-time 100, full-time 700
(b) Only 100 out of 800 employees are part time employee.
only a ratio
part time / total = 100 / 800
total employees may be 800 or more
