it would truly be a depressing day for us. all those satellites we sent out into the great beyond will be for nothing and we'd be wasting metal, or what ever they make satellites with, for no reason. there is bound to be life out there because the universe is endless and our galaxy is like a grain of sand on a beach. there are other stars like our own that might make it possible for the planets revolving around it to substain life. but these planets could be a zillion of light-years away from the milky way or earth for all we know. so, if there was no life out there it would be kinda disappointingg and we'd be truly the ONLY life forms like ourselves in our universe. but, i dont think we're ALONE....

That would be impossible. There is bound to be life out there. Even the steepest requirements you could think up for Earth would make it logical for thousands of other planets with life on them to exist.

But given that for some reason there is no life out there, we would scientifically find the answer. And I'm willing to bet that it still wouldn't involve a supernatural thing.

Then we'd just keep looking. It's a very big universe, and it will take a heap of exploration before we can say it's unpopulated except for Earth. That would be a huge surprise, though.

Well, it's impossible for us to find that answer out. For what reason? If we did, we'd be much to far away from the sun and we'd freeze. There are millions/billions of black holes out there even that are so small that some of our high powered telescopes can't even detect them. The universe is dangerous, and that's why we'll never have "ALL" the answers about it.

We might be closer to appreciating what it meant when it said "In the beginning God created the heaven's and the earth"

I would be very surprised. I mean there are 4 places in our own solar system that could theoretically sustain life.(Earth, Mars, a Jupiter moon, and a Saturn moon)
