You can apply the transitive property here. It says if a=b and b=c, then a=c. Plug in 2x+3 in for y in the first equation. You have:
2x+3=3x+5
Subtract 3 from both sides:
2x=3x+2
Subtract 3x from both sides:
-x=2
Multiply both sides by -1:
x= -2
Now plug this x value into wither equation and solve for y. I'll use the first equation.
y=3(-2)+5
y= -6+5
y= -1
So, the solution is -2,-1.
