MRI upper abdomen report
The liver is normal in size with smooth contour.
There is a mild T2 hyperintense lesion with mild heterogeneous contrast enhancement in segment V/VIII of liver, no mural nodular enhancement nor contrast fill-in demonstrated in post-contrast scan, features are non-specific, given history of Hep B carrier, hepatocellular carcinoma has to be excluded. It measures 1.80x2.6x2.28cm in size. Correlation with AFP or histological correlation will be helpful.There is a small T1 hypo,T2 hyper, intense lesion in segment VII of liver which showed arterial contrast enhancement and become isodense to normal liver parenchyma. The lesion is associated with mild perifocal wedge-shaped hyperaemia. Overall features are in favour of a small haemangioma or AV shunt. It measures 0.74x0.80cm in size.
The intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts are normal in calibre.
The portal veins and hepatic veins are patent.
Normal gallbladder noted. No gallstone seen.
The spleen is normal in size and no focal lesion seen.
The pancreas is also normal in appearance. There is no pancreatic mass or pancreatic ductal dilatation identified.
The adrenals are normal in appearance without limb thickening or nodule formation.
There are multiple cysts in both kidneys, the largest one in lower pole of right kidney measures 8.28x9.53x8.71cm in size. no definite intra-cystic solid enhancing lesion noted. No hydronephrosis bilaterally.
No significant enlarge upper abdominal node. No ascites.
A small 0.7x0.9cm enhancing lesion in posterior aspect of right 11th rib, features are non-specific, early bone metastasis cannot be excluded.
