MY SUGGESTION:
"教" 應該係 taught (not thought)
"用了英文" 應該係 in English (not to English)
So, the sentence should be:
Today, my teacher taught math in English OR
Today, my teacher taught me math in English OR
Today, my teacher taught us math in English
