Stars are most likely the targets that youths admire and pursue as idols. This imitation effect is very influential to youths. If a star possesses or takes drugs, not only will this spoil their personal reputation but also will set a bad example for youths, causing adverse influence to the society.

再加上毒品的對象以青少年居多，明星亦是年青少年非常留意的對象，如果他們幫助宣傳禁毒，會比由家長或教師等宣傳來得直接，亦較容易被青少年吸收禁毒信息。
What is more, drugs are generally aimed at youths and juvenile stars are also the targets that youths pay a lot of attention to. If a star helps in anti-drug campaigns, their influence on youths would be more direct than that of parents or teachers and the anti-drug .messages will also become easily acceptable by youths.

今次事件為香港藝人敲響警鐘，督促他們不要做壞榜樣，而應時刻自律守規，更加注重自己的言行舉止，為青少年樹立正確典範和傳遞良好風氣。
This incident alarmed Hong Kong artists that they should not play bad role models but instead, should be self-disciplined all the time, be more conscious of their conduct, set an exemplary model for youths and generate a good moral climate.

明星被揭發吸毒後，應主動認錯、改過，能教導青少年要知錯能改
Whenever it is disclosed that stars have taken drugs, they should take the initiative to admit their faults and correct them. This can educate youths that learning from mistakes is a right thing to do.
