I am going to sell my house and I understand that I need to appoint a lawyer to represent me. Pls kindly advise the followings:

1. When the buyer pay me the balance of the selling price of my house, will this amount be banked into bank account of my lawyer first?

2. If yes, is there any protection to me so as to ensure that I can get the money, e.g. if the lawyer co go bankruptcy?

The buyer should pay the balance to his lawyer not your lawyer and then the buyer's lawyer will issue a cheque with your name on the deal date.
If buyer's lawyer company go bankruptcy, they cannot pay balance to you, and your lawyer will not send the keys to them until they pay the balance.
Normally, lawyer company has client bank account which separated from their operation which is a way to protect client's property.

kinmingkm only tells the first part. The second part is, if your solicitor goes bankruptcy.

Actually, your solicitor receive the money from the buyer's solicitor on behalf of you (in trust). Your solicitor has an "in trust" duty to you.
