dude??? it would take 2 months to play a series if one team won in a 4-0 sweep they would have to wait up to 4 weeks the freaking play-offs would take a year

True, because NFL will not have not have the best of 7 seven series because NFL is not the NBA.

True. A "best-of" playoff series of any kind in the NFL would never work. Recovery times for players in that league are far longer than the NHL, NBA, and MLB. Any change to the formula would be plain absurd.

And having that one-off contest, where a team HAS to bring their "A"-game on the day/night to progress, is far more exciting.

True, that is like taking a best of seven series in the NBA, MLB, or NHL and it making it best of 15 games. I think mayby a best of 3 or mayby 5.

If there were a seven-game series for every round, that would be 28 games, or 6 and a half months of playoffs. they would end about a week before training camp is supposed to start.

Okay Patriots verses say Colts Patriots win 4-3 (49 days)

Patriots verses say Ravens games, Patriots win 4-2 (42 Days)

Patriots against say Broncos Patriots win 4-3 (49 days)

Super Bowl Patriots against Falcons, actually Super Games (new name I guess) takes seven weeks (49 days) okay let's see that would be that would 27 weeks. 11 more weeks then then the season. It could take at the most 35 weeks. Heck no. Then there would be no need for a fourth quater comeback except in the ending games. The first three to four weeks could be boring because you could always say "We have a game next week!" So A. True.


P.S. Then it would take it nearly all year for football to end, then right when you start to rest you play the Dolphins and end up hurting yourself. You need some time to rest after a season (unless you are like a third stirnger and never play)

With the pounding that the body takes from football they need a full week to rest. 7 week playoffs would take almost 2 months per round if it reached game 7. That is ridiculous. The playoffs could reach 6-8 months, longer than the regular season. Completely unrealistic. Not to mention there would be no offseason and there is a chance that they playoffs would overlap the start of hte next season

The NFL will never use a best of 7 format, it would be too time consuming.
