Would I be able to model in china?

I really want to model in Japan but if that doesn't work out I'd like to try china. but I don't know where to start. I think I have features that are unique in china: 5'5, blue/green eyes, blond hair, big lips, thin nose, large breasts, etc... What do you guys think? Do chinese people like the innocent, young, blond look?

You could apply to some agencies that work with foreigners in Beijing.
Models usually have to be at least 5'9. Unfortunately, your features aren't all that unique in China. There are many blonde, blue eyes girls, especially those from Russia, who already work as models in china so it's still a difficult industry to get into. Most advertising companies would still prefer a chinese person to apeal to their audience than a foreigner, and you'd have to accept the same pay as a chinese person.
You're best bet is in Beijing and to find an agency that looks specifically for foreigners. It wouldn't hurt to learn chinese as well.

First question is what kind of modelling you want to get into?

As for the western look in Japan that is starting to fade, the Japanese did go through a boom now they have gotten used to the Western face etc.

You may have better luck in China as the whiter your skin is the more chance there is for this kind of work for you.

Be beware if your working for small Chinese firms there bosses can be harassing at times.

All I can suggest is that you sent off from profile photos of yourself and see what happens.

Unfortunately, the modeling industry in China has high standards like that of the western countries, too. Your height and large breasts might not be the best features for a fashion model (if that's what you want to become). The modeling industry in China tries to keep up with that in the western world, so most of the time, they're looking for the same type of girls - tall skinny hangers, just that being in China, they would prefer Asian-looking girls, afterall, they do need to sell their clothes to the locals.

You might be able to get some commercial modeling, if they are looking for a specific group of girls. It'll be better if you speak Chinese or at least understand Chinese.

You again?

Chinese people like that I guess. If you're modeling in a top agency like Vougue China or something. Unless you're asian, you won't get that much fame.

Just look at Rainie Yang or Ariel Lin. They like girls like that.

Why don't you try your own country? China would prefer Chinese models don't you think? Also, don't describe how you look just put a link or attachment of a picture of yourself on here.

China is a lot less open to Western models than Japan. If you pick up Chinese fashion magazines, most of the models are Asian, not western, unlike Vogue Nippon in Japan which uses mostly Western models. Also you see mainly Chinese faces in ads in China, which is also different from Japan. And if you look on the catwalks of Shanghai Fashion Week, the majority of models are Chinese, unlike Tokyo Fashion Week where over 80% of models are Western. They are two completely different markets.

In either country, you still need to be at least 5'9" if you want to do runway or editorial. Modeling is modeling no matter what country you are in. You need to be tall, thin, long-limbed and incredibly photogenic. If you have large breasts, the only type of modeling you can do anywhere is lingerie/swimwear/topless/glamour modeling
