Copy of recovery DVD?

I made a copy of a recovery DVD, it shows all the files as in the original.

Is there any method to know if the copy disk is functional?

I did not test it by running the setup otherwise my hard disk will be erased.

Before burning I made a test burn in simulation mode, a message stated simulation is not possible but it still let me to burn a copy disk.
