Lemme try...

2/y + 3 = 29/y
2/y - 29/y = -3
-27/y = -3
27/y = 3
1/y = 3/27
y = 27/3
y = 9

BTW, tell me if it's right or wrong, usually my math answers are right but everyone makes mistakes...

(2/y) + 3 = 29/y
2 + 3 y = 29
3y = 27
y = 9

2/y + 3 =29/y

3 =29/y - 2/y

3 =(29 - 2)/y

3y =27

y = 27 / 3

y = 9

sol.
y(2/y + 3) = (29/y)y

2 + 3y = 29

3y= 29-2

3y = 27

3y/3 = 27/3

y= 9

ok?....

2/y + 3 = 29/y
2/y - 29/y = -3
-27/y = -3
-27 = -3y
y = -27/-3
y = 9

The answer is 9 if you simplify the question.
2/y + 3 + 29/y

3 = 29y - 2y

3 = 27y

3/27 =y

y = 9

2/y+3=29y Original
2+3y=29 Multiply each side by y
3y=27 Subtract 2 from each side
y=9 Divide each side by 3

multiply both sides by y to get:
2 + 3y = 29
then move the two over by minus two on each side to get
3y = 27
then divide by three to get
y = 9
2009-05-19 12:43 pm
2/y + 3 = 29/y

Multiply both sides by y....

2 + 3y = 29

Subtract 2 from both sides....

3y = 27

Divide both sides by 3....

y = 27/3 = 9
