(一)我想問句中的away是甚麼詞性?我查字典發現是adverb,adverb不是去形容動詞的嗎?

Yes, "away" is an adverb.

"Adverbs" are not only used to decribe "verbs".

Examples:

1) Unfortunately, ((((she lost all her money in Macau.))))

Unfortunately(adverb) is used to modify(((( the whole sentence.))))

2) She is really beautiful.

Really ( adverb) is used to modify "beautiful"(adj).

3) She is running fast.

Fast ( adverb) is used to modify the action ( running).

4) She is really absolutely smart.

Really + absolutely = both adverbs to make the tone stronger

Footnote: Your sentence can be rephrased as follows

And sweep AWAY(adverb) the cinders from the hearth.

(二)那from又是甚麼詞性呢?
"from" is a preposition in the sentence.

from有咩作用在句中?

from the hearth<------------ from = 由 in Chinese

Example:

I borrowed a book FROM him. from him = 由 他那裡

Is it clear?
:)

你好,我尽量简单地解释你的问题咯。

1) away 就正如你所说的 adverb (副词) 咯,所以 away 就是在形容着 sweep 这个动词 (verb) 咯。

2) from 是介词 (preposition) 来的,它通常都会跟着 away 一起用的,刚好这句子有用到,也就是“从 ... 离开/消失掉”。

你也能从字典里看到的。

希望能帮到你咯。。。: )
